MONTESSORI EDUCATION CENTRE

The Montessori Education Centre is a co-educational Montessori school for 2½ to 6 year olds which aims to provide a nurturing environment that welcomes in a rich diversity of children. 

The school is dedicated to the importance of the early years and holds firm to Maria Montessori's philosophy that children require an environment that is safe, nurturing, sensorally rich and stimulating in order to allow them to reach their full potential at hte moment that they are ready. Based on the child's imperious need to learn by simply doing and working at their own pace and free-will; the Montessori Education Centre's program sets out to maximize each child's confidence level and most importantly their discovery for the love of learning.

Our Program

The Montessori method of education is followed whereby the child learns at his/her own pace and absorbs information from an enriched prepared environment. The child's sensitive periods are recognized as he/she is guided to develop co-ordination, concentration, good work habits and academic skills. Our Staff

Our staff are Montessori trained teachers. Low student-teacher ratios create a supportive environment that facilitates close teacher-student interaction.

Sessions

The school year runs from September to June with 2 weeks holiday at Christmas. Children may be enrolled throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the school and observe the children in their natural environment.
